Men, You've Been Misinformed

Men's skin is about 25% thicker than women's, but thicker skin doesn't mean better aging. It means delayed collapse. For years, your skin looks resilient. Then collagen declines, and when it does, it drops hard: deeper wrinkles, heavier under-eye bags, more dark spots showing up all at once.

Most men were never taught to get ahead of this. Women were. And by the time the signs show up, you're playing catch-up.

Particle Face Cream was built precisely for this. One 6-in-1 formula engineered for men's skin — reduces eye bags, dark spots, and wrinkles, restores firmness, hydrates deeply, and revives dull tone. No complicated routine. Over 1,000,000 men already use it. Try it risk-free with a 30-day money-back guarantee.

Families can trick-or-treat, browse local vendors, play games, and enjoy Halloween activities at Homestead Plaza’s 4th annual Ghouls Just Wanna Have Fun Jubilee on October 4. Illustration created for Highland Local Scoop.

Ghouls Just Wanna Have Fun at Homestead Plaza This Sunday

Homestead Plaza is getting into the Halloween spirit Sunday, October 4, with the fourth annual Ghouls Just Wanna Have Fun Jubilee from noon to 4 p.m. at 8201 Kennedy Ave.

Families can expect trick-or-treating, games, activities, food, giveaways, and a lineup of local vendors set up throughout the plaza. The event also spotlights the plaza’s women-owned family businesses run by Highland residents, including J’s Snackery, The Creation Factory, The Wildflower, and A.G Hair Studio.

Outside vendors will be set up in tent spaces and under the plaza awning, with participants also providing candy, treats, or giveaways for trick-or-treaters. Costumes are encouraged, making it an easy local outing for families looking for some early October fun close to home.

Helped Clean Up After the Storm? Log Your Hours

Did you spend time hauling branches, clearing debris, or helping a neighbor after the August storm? Highland is asking residents to document those volunteer hours because they may help offset the Town’s local share of FEMA Public Assistance costs.

Residents should complete the Highland Volunteer Log with their name, date, number of hours worked, location, and a brief description of the work performed. Completed forms can be turned in at Town Hall, and the volunteer log is available on the Town’s website.

Town Council President George Georgeff and Laurel Matula of ER Assist also explain how the process works in a short video posted by the Town of Highland. If you pitched in during storm cleanup, those hours could still help Highland’s recovery effort.
