Taste Your Way Through Downtown Highland at the Restaurant Crawl
Today from 4-9pm
Highland’s next Downtown Restaurant Crawl takes over downtown tonight Tuesday, September 29, giving locals an excuse to sample several restaurants in one evening. From roughly 4–9 p.m.
Participating businesses will offer special food and drink selections for $7 or less, making it easy to try a little bit of everything without committing to a full meal at each stop.
This crawl’s lineup ranges from pizza, barbecue and pierogies to Hawaiian chicken, schnitzel, coffee and even a pumpkin s’mores sundae. Participating spots include Growlers, Langel’s, Fuzzyline Brewing, Sip Coffee House, The Counter, Sakura Bowl, Dan’s Pierogies, Jose’s, Relish Gourmet Hot Dogs, and Greenwitch.
Live music, craft vendors, and extended hours at some downtown businesses add even more to the evening. Grab a friend, come hungry, and make your own mini food tour through downtown Highland.

Run, Walk, Then Cheer on the Trojans at Highland’s Family Fun Run
Highland Education Foundation’s Family Fun Run returns Friday, October 2, with a one-mile walk or run for students, families, staff, friends and the community.
Check-in begins at 5:15 p.m., and the run starts at 6:15 p.m. near the bike trail entrance at Highland High School. Pre-registration is $10, or participants can register the day of the event for $15.
Admission also includes a wristband for free entry to the Highland vs. Munster Homecoming football game at 7 p.m.
The game will also celebrate Senior Night for Highland football players, cheerleaders and Sapphires. The event supports the Highland Education Foundation and Highland schools.

Highland Public Works Is Hiring Temporary Fall Help
Looking for some extra work this fall? The Town of Highland Public Works Department is hiring temporary seasonal employees.
The position runs Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and pays $13 an hour. Interested applicants can email an application to [email protected] or stop by the Public Works Department at 8001 Kennedy Ave. to apply in person. The temporary help will support Public Works during the busy fall season.
